We just got back from ISPO in Germany. ISPO is a major winter sports trade fair, and gives the opportunity for retailers, distributors, agents and manufacturers to all get together and discuss the new ranges. This show is just after SIA, the major US show. It is always good to know how a brand has gone down and in the case of Icelantic it is extremely well. This article by the Denver Westword looks at Icelantic’s progress and tells the story of how they got started.

Icelantic Skis Moving Up

We have now run out of the 08/09 Icelantic skis and have only the 09/10 models in stock. The skis ski beautifully and the world is now catching on to the fact that fatter skis are the way to go. Skiing is about freedom and being limited to groomed piste runs is not very free really is it. With the growth of freestyle, the Da’Nollie provides a great park ski ideal for those who never leave the park. It has a really soft nollie flex core. The 170 model is perfect for the UK park scene.

For the upcoming 2009/10 season Maxtrack will be taking over from Junkiegear as the distributor for Icelantic. After being offered the opportunity, meeting with Ben and Annelise from Icelantic HQ and seeing the 09/10 graphics we could not say no. I am sure this is going to be a great partnership.
